I've been visiting the area for over a decade, but on this last trip, I discovered Tabor House for the first time while driving through town. My family and I are huge history buffs, so stumbling upon this was a real treat!
We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and offered a free tour of the property. Traveling with young children can be tricky, but the tour guides were thoughtful and provided a scavenger hunt to keep the kids engaged throughout the tour.
We learned that Tabor House also hosts a ghost tour-style event! Unfortunately, we couldn't attend this time, but I LOVE that it's an option. What a fun offering!

It was a great place to visit. It was informative and very interesting. It provided a lot of the history of the house and the surrounding area. A nice date or fun spot with the family!
100% would recommend and would do again!

Very nice place to learn and explore its history. Thought it was very interesting and cool to see all the artifacts and to hear all the stories that went along with them. I loved going upstairs and seeing all the carvings of people that stayed over 100 years ago. Very good experience

Wonderful experience!
Both of the tour volunteers were highly knowledgeable in the history of the Tabor house, family, and all of the area. The Veterans room was really cool, as well as the weapons room and parlor. It was all very interesting! And it is free! We highly recommend it!
